Client Portal Data Handling Notice
How information and files move through the MEB secure workspace.
Purpose
The portal allows authorised clients to request checks, invited companies to respond to specific forensic evidence requests, and authorised reviewers to prepare and release reports securely.
Information submitted
For person checks, the portal collects the person’s name, date of birth, previous names, CV and supporting documents. For forensic cases, it collects the company contact and response, requested information and uploaded files. It records the submitting account, time and relevant access events.
Submitting information
The person submitting information confirms that they are authorised to do so and have provided any notices or obtained any permissions required for the relevant engagement. Only provide information requested for the case.
Access and sharing
MEB personnel can access the workspace. An assigned project administrator, including an authorised forensic partner, can access only their assigned project. Client contacts can see their organisation’s checks and released reports. An invited company contact can see only its own forensic case and evidence requests, not the client’s report. Notification emails contain no documents or sensitive case details; reports are downloaded after sign-in.
